North Garo Hills school observes Parents Day

 TURA: Parents Day was celebrated on Wednesday by the Don Bosco Higher Seconday School, Mendal in North Garo Hills. Local MLA Pongseng Marak was the chief guest in the function while Dr R Ch Marak of Rari PHC was the guest of honour.

Speaking to the gathering on the occasion, Marak thanked the staff and the principal for doing well in the recently declared MBoSE results. He said that his government was trying to improve the education system in the state. He urged both parents and teachers to cooperate with each other to give quality education to the children.

Earlier, the guest of honor, Dr R Ch Marak sensitized the parents about the measles rubella vaccine campaign which will begin in the month of September.

Others present during the programme included Fr Rector Charles Sangma, Fr Bartholomew K Marak, sisters from the convent, managing committee members, staff and around one thousand parents.
