HSPDP slams Assam police for harassment along border

SHILLONG: While flaying the Assam police for harassing the residents of Umru and Ri Bhoi, the HSPDP on Thursday demanded the state government to provide protection to the people residing along the Meghalaya-Assam border.
Party president, KP Pangniang asserted that the Assam police should not interfere with the development schemes of the Meghalaya.
“This is the right time for the state government to resolve the border issue between Assam and Meghalaya,” he added.
