JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills police on Monday seized 850 grams of ganja from a Shillong-Jowai tourist cab and arrested Shantre Niangti (21) from Iawmusiang Jowai.
Acting on an information Ummulong Police intercepted the vehicle with registration number MLO4C 4887 (Alto 800) driven by Sonmi Nanglein of Moophlang village.
According to Nanglein, a person came to Jowai stand in Anjalee, Shillong, and asked him to take some parcel to Jowai. The sender had also given him the mobile number of the receiver to contact him after reaching.
