KSU holds meeting to fight influx

SHILLONG: With the rising number of illegal immigrants in places like Majai and Shella, the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) held a meeting with limestone exporters to combat influx in the state.
A discussion was held to meet with the KHADC authorities with unanimous demand to strip the powers of the headmen by asserting that it is through them that the immigrants get refuge.
The Sordar, traders maintained that new faces arrived in Majai and hundreds have arrived at Nayabasti.
