Body found
On September 7 around 9.30 am, the body of one Niresh Das (40 years) was found hanging from a tree at Daspara, Mahendraganj (SWGH). Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under enquiry.
Theft
On Septeber 6 around 10 pm, miscreant broke into the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank, Bhoirymbong Branch (Ri Bhoi) and stole the cash counting machine and also vandalized the passbook printing machine.
Kenedy Ymbon lodged a complaint that on September 3 around 2 pm, Heimon Lamare, Hamesohki Lipon and Calnun Zira Thianglai, stole goods valued around Rs 5,000 belonging to the complainant from Ladthalaboh market (WJH). When the accused were apprehended, they threatened the complainant with dire consequences. Police have arrested the accused persons.
