Foundation day
Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School will celebrate its 95th Foundation Day cum Annual prize Distribution on Thursday. The programme will start at 11am at Kailash Manch in the school auditorium. Additional Chief Secretary PW Ingty will be the chief guest.
Office bearers
The election to the post of different office bearers to the Mothers’ Union in Williamnagar recently took place in a meeting. During the process, Mehalin S Marak was elected as President, Lindamoni Ch marak as Vice President, Swaphan Chitra M Sangma as General Secretary, Betlish G Momin as Joint Secretary, Binallin R Marak as Treasurer and Greatmina N Marak as Adviser besides six other members.
Ceremony
The valedictory ceremony for KRDP Scheme Cotton Spinning training with 8 Spindle NMC (manual) Charkha will be held on September 16 at 3:30 pm at Paham Khadi and Gramodyog Sangha, Paham district in West Garo Hills. It is organised by Paham Khadi and Gramodyog Sangha, West Garo Hills sponsored by State office KVIC, Oakland ward,Shillong. The director, state office KVIC, Shillong will be the chief guest.
Book released
On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s upcoming 150th birth anniversary celebrations, , a book titled “Experiential Learning – Gandhiji’s Nai Talim was launched on Tuesday by the Governor Tathagatha Roy . The book contains basic principles of Gandhiji’s Nai Talim (our notes and interpretations), along with the Work and Education curriculum for Schools, D.Ed, B.Ed and Faculty Development Programmes for teachers.
