SHILLONG: Newly elected MLA of Ranikor Pius Marwein met the representatives of Reliance Jio Company to take up the issue of mobile network problems in the constituency.
A statement issued here by general secretary of UDP youth wing Ranikor Circle and Ranikor Constituency Development Committee (RCDC), R Bahunlang Sanglein, said the MLA met the construction manager of Reliance Jio, Rupam Pal, and Shillong finance manager Saijul Haque, over a mobile tower in Ranikor.
Pal assured the MLA that a mobile tower “will be erected in villages such as Phodkroh, Puksora, Wanokchiring, Nongjri and Phlangdiloin and also later in such villages such as 25 Mile (Pine Ville Village), Borsora, Nongnah, Keniong, Rangthong and Phlangmawprah”.
In this connection, surveys will be conducted to place the towers. Marwein urged Pal and Haque to expedite the construction.
Marwein is the chairman of Meghalaya State Resource Mobilisation and Employment Generation and co-chairman of Meghalaya Khadi and Village Industries Board.
