A Star Is Born to open Tokyo Film Festival

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga-starrer has been announced as the opening film of Tokyo International Film Festival.
The film, which marks the directorial debut of Cooper, had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and was recently screened at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival.
It will have a gala screening at Tokyo International Film Festival on October 25, the organisers said in a press release.
The 31st edition of the festival will run from October 25 to November 3, 2018. Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita-directed animated feature Godzilla: The Planet Eater will bring the curtains down on the festival. The film is the third and final part in the animated Godzilla trilogy.
The organisers also announced that Yukihiko Tsutsumi-directed The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps will have its world premiere at the festival on October 29. (PTI)
