SHILLONG: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is banking on the Lok Sabha and the district council elections to revive the party, which won only two seats in the February lection.
BJP Meghalaya president Shibun Lyngdoh said on Wednesday the State Executive Committee will meet on Saturday and “some decisions will be taken for reviving the party”.
Central leaders like Ram Madhav and BJP Meghalaya in charge Nalin Kohli are likely to attend the meeting.
When asked if the party would contest the council and the Lok Sabha elections, Lyngdoh said, “The party will first have to sit and strategise everything since it did not have any meetings since election (in February).”
