Fraud
Senga Doni of Upper Laban, Shillong lodged a complaint that on July 27, one Bubun Dey Sinha cheated the complainant of Rs 21,000 with a promise to allot her a rent house. Manash Chakravorty of Harisabha, Laban, Shillong also lodged a complaint that on April 20, the same accused cheated him of Rs 30,000 with a promise to allot a rent house.

Assault
On September 12 around 7 pm, one Jotun D Marak (27 years) stabbed his father-in-law Tajing Sangma (55 years) with a knife at Mekdual A’dinggre village (SWGH). Victim sustained injuries on his chest and was removed to CH Ampati for treatment. After committing the crime, the accused fled but was later apprehended.

Duping
Edmund Khongthaw lodged a complaint that on August 25, he received one anonymous phone call, wherein the caller identified himself as one P.S Sharma, Branch Manager, Shillong Main Branch and asked about his bank details. Later, the complainant received SMS informing him that Rs 1,97,210 has been withdrawn from his account.
