SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep People Defence Alliance (HPDA) conducted an inspection of pharmaceutical shops in Lad Rymbai, East Jaintia Hills, on Saturday. The group found that shops without proper licences or qualified people with certificates are handing out medicines. Some medicines were also sold beyond expiry dates.
Further, the group found shops open for business with invalid or expired licence. The HPDA has requested the Health Department and the government to look into the matter.
