SHILLONG: The central election committee meeting of the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) approved the name of Dimarsing Marbaniang as the 2019 MDC election candidate from Laitumkhrah constituency.
The central executive committee (CEC) of KHNAM comprising the president, Pyndapborthiaw Saibon, general secretary, Frewelson Marpna, Chief Publicity Secretary James M.A Neng has affirmed the decision of the central election committee.
In a meeting held at Nongmynsong, Marbaniang expressed his desire to throw his hat in the ring and serve the people of his constituency.
The regional party already approved vice president and president of KHNAM youth wing, Thomas Passah and Rocky Hek as candidates for Jaiaw constituency and Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah constituency respectively.
