SHILLONG: Vivekananda Sangha celebrated its golden jubilee with an inaugural programme held at the Sangha premises on Sunday in the presence of Central Puja Committee members and other dignitaries. The inaugural programme witnessed an insight about the organisation by its president Ashish Das and JL Das, member of the Central Puja Committee. Performances by kids and seniors of the locality, songs and dance were also part of the inauguration.
A series of programmes are scheduled to be organised by the Sangha members to mark the golden jubilee. On September 23, a Vedic Shanti Yaga will be organised in the Sangha premises. A Vedic Shanti Yaga, blood donation, cleaning drive and food festival will also be organised at the golden jubilee.
