NONGSTOIN: A 38-year-old woman, has filed an FIR against her estranged husband for threatening her and her in-laws.
Lasubon Syiem of Mawmluh-I Rambrai in West Khasi Hills said in her complaint that on September 16 around11.30pm, Stewell Rongrin (28) threatened her and her in-laws in the village with dire consequences. He was carrying a rod and a knife. He also threatened to torch their houses. Later, the accused destroyed parts of their houses.
The police went to the village for preliminary inquiry and later registered a case against the accused. Rongrin was later arrested.
