SHILLONG: The KHADC will organise a meeting of traditional chiefs, elders, headmen and sordar at Students’ Field in Jaiaw on October 3.
“There was in-depth discussion on Council for traditional chief and headmen… chiefs, elders, chiefs of raid, sordar raid and headmen will participate (in the meeting)
We have framed Council for Traditional Chief and Headmen rules in 2018,” KHADC chief executive members HS Shylla told reporters after the Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday. “For the execution of the rules, we have asked the chiefs, chiefs of raid, Lyngdoh, Sordar, elders and headmen to attend a meeting on October 3 at Students’ Field at 11 am,” he added.
There will be two sessions — the first will be dedicated to explanation of rules and later election of office bearers of the council.
