Harrasment
A woman from Umpling BSF, Lumdiengmet, Shillong lodged a complaint that her husband, Bishu Das and his family members, mentally tortured, threatened and harassed her.

Two die in separate accident
On September 27 around 12.20 pm, one tourist Tata Sumo vehicle (ML-05J-8488) driven by Ravi Kharbihkhiew, dashed against another Tata Sumo vehicle [Police requisition vehicle] at 13th Mile, Byrnihat (RB). As a result, the driver of Tata Sumo (ML-05J-8488) sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, where he succumbed to his injuries.
On September 20 around 7.30 am, an accident took place while four persons Poltul Kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar Singh, Maiharaj Alom and Sumanta Deka, were engaged in the cleaning of machines at M/s Megh Cement Ltd., Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills. As a result, the workers sustained burn injuries and were shifted to NEMCARE Hospital, Guwahati, where one the victims, Manoj Kumar Singh, succumbed to his injuries. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under enquiry.

Theft
On the night of September 25, miscreants stole a battery of a road roller which was parked at Kenilworth Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

Kidnapped
A resident of Barengapara in West Garo Hills District lodged a complaint that on September 23 around 9 am, miscreants abducted his daughter with an intention to commit sexual molestation. However, local residents rescued the victim at Dalu in the same district.
