Bike & motor rally on MR campaign held in SWGH

Ampati: Scores of motorcycles and vehicles were seen traversing through the roads of South West Garo Hills during a ‘bike and motor rally’ on Measles-Rubella Vaccination organised by the district Health department in collaboration with the District Administration on Saturday.
The rally was flagged off at Damalgre by Ampati Deputy Commissioner in charge DD Shir. Nearly 50 bikers, including 20 bikers of NH 51 Rebels from Tura, GSU, Police and health staff participated in the rally.
The bikers were followed by participants in vehicles, including WHO Consultant Santosh Sahoo. The Rally covered the entire district, from one corner to the other, before culminating at the district headquarter in Ampati.
Awareness on MR campaign was made through loudspeakers mounted on a vehicle all along the route.
Later, District Immunization Officer CR Sangma expressed his gratitude to the SP and the entire District Police team including the District Administration for the logistic support and all the participants for their enthusiastic participation in making the rally a success.
