Local traders against coal business by non-tribals

NONGSTOIN: A closed door meeting of local businessmen was organised by Joint Action Committee (JAC) at Shallang Sohbar Community Hall, West Khasi Hills on Saturday.
The objective of the meeting was to restrict the entry of non-tribal businessmen to coal quarry. As many as 50 locals attended the meeting which was chaired by Harley Synchiang, president, JAC.
Others who spoke were secretary Wellibishon Ryntong, Choka N Sangma, Pibing M Sangma and others.
