Lajong and Sawmer SC play 2-2 draw in SPL

SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong and Sawmer SC played a 2-2 draw on Wednesday in the second leg fixture of the Shillong Premier League at the SSA Stadium. Novin Gurung who was playing as Centre Back on Wednesday’s game in place of Aiban Dohlng scored the opening goal for Lajong through a header in the 15th minute. G Kharlyngdoh levelled the score in the 67th minute via a free kick for Sawmer and went on to convert the penalty in the 71st minute thereby giving his side the 2-1 lead in the game. Lajong forward, Parvaj Bhuiya, who played his first game of the SPL today cancelled their lead and scored the equaliser in the 74th minute.  Lajong will play their next match against MLP on October 9.
