Demand for OBC certificates

SHILLONG: A joint meeting of the representatives of Global Social Welfare Organization was held under the chairmanship of R G Pradhan on Saturday to fight for the rights of OBCs.
Those who attended the meeting at the office of Shillong Darpan, Polo Bazar included Meghalaya Nath Welfare Organization and Behari Welfare Association among others.
The meeting decided to approach the concerned department of the state government highlighting the plight of the OBCs who are denied certificates.
The meeting also decided to seek the intervention of the court, if the grievances of the OBCs are not addressed by the state government.
