TURA: Users of social media Facebook in Garo Hills are out for blood of a particular fake account holder who has been uploading derogatory and obscene posts mostly against Garo girls for the past few months.

The account holder under the fake name, Mohombee Ch Marak has been using the FB group ‘The Garo Hills Times Now’ to post his updates which is usually against Garo Girls. Angry users of the social media who are sick and tired of the inappropriate posts are calling for action against the fake account holder while some have even urged the Cyber Crime Branch of the police department to intervene.

The admin of the group has also come under fire from users for allowing such kind of posts to be updated without proper checking.

Recently, after the posts received angry response from other users, another fake account under the name Cheng Chong Chang suddenly surfaced and pretending to be someone else tried to clarify that Mohombee’s account had been hacked and several other persons were responsible for posting the updates in his name. However, users are not buying the tall claim as the manner of writing (full of spelling mistakes and wrong Garo words and grammer used) of the user of both accounts were identical.

One of the FB users (not fake) who was named in the post also challenged the accusation made against him and asked the user to prove it. However, there was no response.
