Youth arrested for defaming Mamata Banerjee on Facebook

Ambassa (Tripura): A youth has been arrested by Tripura police and West Bengal police for making derogatory remarks against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Facebook in the Northern Tripura district of Dhalai. According to sources, the youth identified as Tushar Sharma from Thakurpally made derogatory remarks on the Rohingya issue against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on April 14 this year. On April 17, West Bengal Minister Bratya Basu informed Bidhannagar police station. Accordingly, Bidhannagar police station arrived at Ambassa and apprehended Tushar Sharma. This incident has revealed the efficiency of West Bengal police in handling cyber crime and the local people have demanded more efficiency of local police in such cases. (UNI)
