NPP condoles Selsella MLA’s death

TURA: The executive committee and members of the National People’s Party (NPP) has condoled the untimely death of Selsella MLA, Clement R Marak in a meeting held at its party office in Tura.

“He was a man of good personality and earned reputation irrespective of caste, community and religion. His untimely death is an irreparable lost to the people of Garo Hills and Meghalaya in general,” the condolence message read.

The meeting also observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul and prayed to the almighty for his eternal peace as well as to give strength to the bereaved family members in their hour of grief.

Late Clement R Marak began his political career by getting elected as an MDC in the GHADC from the Nationalists Congress Party (NCP). Later, after being elected as an MLA from Selsella Constituency on a Congress ticket, he retained the seat for three times and had been serving the people of his constituency until his untimely demise on Monday evening.
