GUWAHATI: Husband of the SBI official who was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants at Agyathuri near Guwahati city on Tuesday evening, alleged that the official was killed to cover up certain anomalous financial dealings.
Junu Sharma, the deputy branch manager of SBI Dadara branch who was shot dead while she was returning home from her office last night. Two bullets pierced through the neck of the bank official who was shot dead from close range, police informed.
Her husband, Pradip Sharma alleged before the media that she was killed by vested quarters to cover up certain financial anomalies.
Pranab Kalita, the driver of the slain bank official’s car, escaped unhurt in the shoot-out. He was detained for questioning after the incident took place last night.
