Body found
On October 9 around 9.30 am, a dead body of Bijoystar Mawrie (35) of Laitkor Nonglum, Shillong was recovered from Wahkdait river. The deceased was reportedly missing since October 6. Necessary formalities have been observed.
Three knocked down
On October 8 around 6.35 pm, a vehicle (number not known) knocked down three persons Nirmal Kharka, Tek Bahadur Chettri and Sharaswati Chettri at Pyllun Umiam, Shillong By-pass road . As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong for treatment.
12-year-old electrocuted
Joining Dkhar filed an FIR that on October 4 around 2 pm, a minor boy, Mardeiwi Rymbai (12) came in contact with live electric cables and was electrocuted. The wires passed through his school premises at Khlieh Myntriang in East Jaintia hills. Necessary formalities were observed.
Illegal cutting of trees
Wini Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on September 29, two persons, Kyrmen Thubru and Jean Pale, cut down pine trees valued around Rs. 1,50,000 from his land located at Nangbah Mynkseh village in West Jaintia Hills.
