SHILLONG: The verdict on Bangladeshi politician Salahuddin Ahmed, who had entered Shillong without valid documents in May 2015 and subsequently arrested, was deferred to October 26 here on Monday

The court of the Judicial magistrate (first class) of Meghalaya deferred its judgment on Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Salahuddin Ahmed to October 26.

With this, the hearing on his case has been deferred for the third time in a row. First it was August 13 and then Oct 15 and now it’s October 26th.

A visibly sad Ahmed coming out of the court, however, refused to make any comment.
