NEHU condoles Professor’s death

SHILLONG: Department of philosophy, NEHU has condoled the death of Professor S.C.Daniel, who served the department as a teacher between 1981-2000
He passed away on October 10 at his residence in Chennai. The teachers, non-teaching staff and students recounted exemplary qualities of Prof Daniel, who was known outside the university for his friendliness.
The department passed a condolence resolution and decided to send it to his bereaved family.
Deaths condoled
Shillong Nepali Mahila Samiti held a condolence meeting on Saturday to pay tribute to its founding members Saraswati Sonar and Satya Basnet who had passed away this month. A two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute.
