Over 89 thousand children administered MRV in West Garo Hilld

TURA: West Garo Hills District has so far successfully administered the Measles-Rubella Vaccine to 89,889 children after the completion of 1394 sessions out of the planned 3089 sessions for the district, a statement issued by the district administration has informed.

The vaccination campaign has so far not received reports of any serious complications from any part of the district.

The MR Campaign which began on October 1 will be conducted for 37 working days and the total target in the district is 1,72,082 children. The campaign will be observed up to November 17 in all the Government Health facilities, Anganwadi centres and schools for all students including those that were left out.

The District Health Authority has appealed to parents and guardians to immunize all children from 9 months to below 15 years to prevent them from contracting the two deadly diseases.
