SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) has urged the people to avoid playing loud music which can cause disturbance to the residents during Durga puja celebrations
“Try playing instruments that are soft and soothing. Make sure to turn off the music by 10 pm and abide by rules”, the MSPCB said.
The anti-pollution panel has said after the immersion ceremony, associations, NGOs, social workers and volunteers should participate in cleaning drive as this helps to prevent water pollution. Residents are also urged to save energy.
