Sources said there is already resentment among the coalition partners as many ministers did not perform well in the recently held autumn session of the Assembly.

Among the Cabinet ministers, while Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong is vocal on many issues, the home minister is keeping aloof and is often out of station, sources said.
The varied views of the coalition partners on the upcoming Lok Sabha and district council polls indicate lack of coherence in the coalition, sources added.
BJP leader AL Hek had hinted that the party may contest both Shillong and Tura Lok Sabha seats while the UDP wanted Shillong seat for the party to be supported by all the coalition partners, including the NPP.
Taking an extreme view from his predecessor Mukul Sangma, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has projected himself as a person acceptable to all.
