NPP elects new office bearers

TURA: The general meeting of the National People’s party was held at Rongma Gitil under Kharkutta in North Garo Hills on Saturday during which new members were welcomed into its fold as well as new office bearers to lead the party elected.

 

The meeting was attended by local MLA of Kharkutta, Rupert Momin, Bajengdoba MLA, Ponseng Marak and MDCs Dolly K Sangma (Deputy CEM) and SK Sangma (I/C Forests – GHADC) and former MLA FW Momin.

 

The meeting elected Dolly K Sangma as President, S K Sangma as Secretary, Edbirth Shira, Wilbur Sangma, Kapursing Sangma and Gilberth Marak as Vice presidents, Sengnab Momin and Marbush Momin as additional general secretaries, Luckingbirth Marak, Pabison Sangma and Kritherson Sangma as secretaries in charge, Selia omin, Tableton Marak, Sachin Arengh, Manhu Marak and Sunny Momin as organizing secretaries.

 

MLAs T D Shira and Pongseng Marak as well as former MLA, F W Momin were elected as Advisors for the district.

Following the meeting, newly installed pedal boats at various tourists spots were inaugurated by the MLAs.
