NE health summit in city on Oct 29

SHILLONG: The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) will organise the 3rd North East Health Care Leadership Summit 2018 on October 29 at Yojana Bhawan in the city.
The meet is in partnership with the state government and funded by the Ministry of Development of the North East Region (DoNER) under the Swasth Uttar Purv: Healthy North East Initiative to strengthen human resource and systems capacity for the health sector in the Northeastern region.
The objective of the summit is to strengthen the focus on key health issues in the Northeast region, explore emergent avenues for collaboration and provide a platform for interaction between various agencies and stakeholders such as healthcare providers, policy makers, researchers, government officials, the private sector and non-governmental organisations.
The leadership summit attempts to draw the attention of policy makers and other stakeholders to the healthcare system of the Northeast and contribute towards bridging the region for health transformation.
