Theft
Manshanlang Tang lodged a complaint that between October 16 and 19, unknown miscreants stole twenty newly fitted solar studs erected along the Shillong-Jowai Road between Mawblei and Umphyrnai (EKH).
Swapan Kumar Saha of Hallidayganj (WGH) lodged a complaint that on the night of October 18, unknown miscreants broke into his shop, stole goods valued around Rs. 5,79,504 and also destroyed the CCTV.

Fake certificates
Agnes Kharshiing lodged a complaint that between January 20, 2011 and July 07, 2011, Sudhansu Kumar Roy faked his age / date of birth and submitted fake certificate / mark-sheet of Secondary School Examination 2003 of Bihar School Examination and other documents to secure a job as Assistant Teacher at Gandhi Buniyadi Lower Primary School, Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong.

14-year-old girl abducted
On October 23, unidentified persons abducted a fourteen-year-old girl from Nongpoh (Ri Bhoi) and took her to a place under the jurisdiction of Nongstoin PS (WKH). In this connection, the Nongstoin police conducted a search and later retrieved the victim from her residence at Mawiawet village along with her alleged abductor Shan Nongkhar (26). The matter is under investigation.
