MPCC pays tributes to Indira Gandhi on death anniversary

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Wednesday observed the 34th Death Anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The function was presided over by James S Lyngdoh, Working President of the MPCC and also attended by George B Lyngdoh, MLA Umroi , Kimfa S  Marbaniang, MLA Rambrai-Jyrngam,  and others.

The program started with the offering of floral tributes led by the Working President MPCC and followed on by other leaders present.

The Keynote address was given by George B. Lyngdoh, MLA Umroi constituency.

The gathering was also addressed by John F Kharshiing, General Secretary of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee.

The Speakers remembered India’s great leader with solemnity as they reflected on her tremendous contributions to the country
