UDP ticket aspirant resigns

SHILLONG: Having lost the ticket to Antonio Neil War for Laitumkhrah-Malki seat, Council election aspirant, Anthony Nongbri resigned from the UDP late Thursday evening.
Speaking to The Shillong Times, Nongbri said, “After a discussion with the supporters, we decided to go ahead and contest the Council elections.”
To a query, Nongbri said, “I am yet to take a decision as to which party I will choose to contest the poll.
He had unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Council elections.
