SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has suggested that the state government should convene a special session to solve the difficulties in the resolution adapted for inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule.
In a statement issued here, KSU president Lambokstarwell Marngar said, “It was a long-pending agenda, it should have been understood that difficulties in the resolution should have been discussed.”
“If the state government does not call a special session, it reveals that the government has misled the people,” he added.
Marngar hoped that the state government would send a glitch-free resolution to the Centre.
