India, Chinese troops celebrate diwali at Kibithu in Arunachal Pradesh

GUWAHATI: A special meeting of Indian and Chinese Border troops was conducted on the occasion of Diwali on November 7 at Wacha near Kibithu. The Chinese delegation also included women and children. At the outset, the Chinese delegation thanked their Indian counterparts for the invitation.

The celebrations were marked with numerous cultural programmes by Indian Army personnel and students of Kibithu Government Middle School. Thereafter the delegation exchanged gifts and sweets, according to a Defence communiqué.

The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. The event has further enhanced the mutual trust and friendship between the two border guarding forces.
