Members of British
band Little Mix
have slammed the critics who say their stage outfits are too sexy by pointing out a huge double standard.
The girl group comprises Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock — asserted that people would never criticise an Olympic athlete for wearing skimpy clothes, but that they get it in the neck because they dance.
In an interview with Attitude magazine, Nelson said: “You should be able to be whatever kind of woman you want to be. You should be able to wear what you bloody want to wear and rock it.
“As long as you feel good about yourself, that’s all that matters. It just annoys me. We’ll wear a leotard and they’re like (pulls a face).” (IANS)
