SHILLONG: East Jaintia Hills police is currently interrogating Elphon Dkhar and Meklison Siangshai — arrested in connection with the attack on activists Agnes Kharshiing and Amita Sangma.
Sources from the police said that their interrogation is on and police are trying to get more clues from them about others who were involved in the attack.
Police are also trying to get more evidence so as to build up a strong case against the perpetrators.
Police took up a suo motu case since the victims were not in a condition to file an FIR and within 24 hours of the crime, two people were arrested.
