SHILLONG: Laitumkhrah Dorbar Shnong Pyllun on Monday condemned the brutal attack on CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing, a resident of Laitumkhrah and her associate Amita Sangma at Sohshrieh, East Jaintia Hills last week.
In a statement, the Dorbar said that it is shameful that a lady who was trying to assist the administration in detecting illegal activities, was assaulted by a group of 30-40 persons in a matrilineal state like Meghalaya.
“The Dorbar condemns such heinous act in a civil society and demands fast action from the law enforcers to book and punish all those involved in the attack so that justice is given to both the victims,” the statement said while wishing speedy recovery to Kharshiing and Sangma.
