SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who spoke to Agnes Kharshiing briefly after she regained consciousness at NEIGRIHMS, assured all assistance from the government.
The chief minister arrived at 9.45pm on Tuesday and with the advice from the Director NEIGRIHMS, he was led to the ICU accompanied by Agnes’s brothers, John Kharshiing, Francis Kharshiing and her son.
John said the chief minister spoke briefly to Agnes and assured all support.
The NEIGRIHMS doctors looking after her briefed the CM about the treatment provided to her.
According to John, the doctors told the chief minister about the timely arrival of Agnes at NEIGRIHMS and the preparedness at the hospital which has resulted in the progress on Tuesday as Agnes had arrived without any pulse.
The chief minister also spent time with another injured victim Amita Sangma and discussed with NEIGRIHMS authorities regarding security arrangements at the hospital.
