NONGPOH: The Ri Bhoi Weightlifting Association (RBWA) in collaboration with the Ri Bhoi Gym and Meghalaya Weightlifting Association (MWA) will organise the ‘6th Strongest Man of Ri Bhoi District 2018’ at Byrnihat Nongrim Ground on November 17, RBWA President, Donald Rymbai informed here.
He also informed that only athletes from Ri Bhoi district can participate in the one-day event and that scanning of players would be done at 8:00 AM and the event shall start at 9:00 AM on the same day.
“There will be a Weightlifting Competition also during the event where winners of both the Strongest Man of the District and the Weightlifting event will get a chance to represent the District at the State Level Tournament in the future”, Rymbai said.
Rymbai further informed that local MLA of Jirang Constituency, Sosthenes Sohtun will grace the event as chief guest.
