Sericulture trainees meet CM over delay in appointment

SHILLONG: The Sericulture Certificate Course Passed-out Trainees Association met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma after the appointment to vacant posts was stopped.
The association informed Sangma that they have passed the interview conducted by the Departmental Selection Committee before undergoing training and also passed the examination for training.
Some of them have been appointed and half of them are waiting for appointments in different districts. The association urged the chief minister to appoint them as they have been waiting for many years.
Sangma informed the organisation that he will meet the sericulture minister to find out the reason behind the delay in appointment.
