Workshop cum seminar on Judo underway in Shillong

SHILLONG: As part of the ongoing India International Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 in Shillong from November 14- 17, an international workshop cum seminar on Judo is being organised at Laban Sports Club Indoor Hall. The first day of the Judo seminar witnessed the presence of Kyohei Yamamoto, Researcher/Adviser (Economics), Embassy of Japan and Sansei Banee Brata Das, General Secretary, All Assam Judo Association along with officials of Meghalaya Judo Association. The workshop cum seminar on Judo brings Judokas and enthusiasts from Assam and SAI STC Shillong along with other athletes in their attempt to promote, develop and popularise Judo. Expert from Japan Sensei Hiroyuki Mizuno, KODOKAN Judo 8th Dan, SP Chaliha, gold medalist at the recent Commonwealth Judo Championship held in Jaipur and Amit Vishwakarma, SAI Judo Coach, displayed their talents and skills to young Judo enthusiasts. The workshop cum seminar will continue on Friday at the same venue.
