DC hold meeting for council polls

SHILLONG: The Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills, T. Lyngwa, on Monday convened a meeting to discuss preparations for the district council election next year.
The meeting discussed the roles and responsibility of the election cell for smooth polls.
The meeting was attended by the SP G.D. Kharwanlang and his team, ADCs, EACs, and heads of the line departments.
Programme to observe National Voters Day on January 25 was also chalked out. A marathon will start from the DC office compound at 7 am. Interested runners can contact the District Sport Officer.
