Free wi-fi in Agartala- Anand Vihar Rajdhani boon for travellers

GUWAHATI: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR)  has introduced free Wi-Fi Entertainment System in 20501 / 20502 Agartala – Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express last month. Since then the service has become very popular among passengers who get access to about 30 hours of entertainment media through their mobile phones, Wi-Fi enabled Tablets, Laptops and other gadgets without incurring any cost for data.

This facility is available to all passengers who have a Wi-Fi enabled device irrespective of class of travel. More content will be provided in a phased manner taking the total media content to about 500 hours.  More train in N. F. Railway will be brought under the service soon.

The first train in Indian Railways to get Wi-Fi facility was Howrah – Delhi Rajdhani Express. Since then several other Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto and Gatiman Express trains have been covered under Indian Railway’s ambitious plan of providing uninterrupted Wi-Fi Internet service in trains moving at more than 100 km per hour.
