MAWKYRWAT: The Hills State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has decided to contest the election to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) from Langrin constituency in South West Khasi Hills.
HSPDP Langrin president Hodingroy Syrman said the decision to put up a candidate for the constituency was taken during a meeting last week.
“All the leaders were of the opinion to contest the election since the party has slowly grown up in the constituency,” he said.
“Therefore, the HSPDP Langrin invited applications from prospective candidates,” Syrman said, adding that the last date for submitting applications is November 29 and names will be declared in the first week of December.
