AHAM warns GHADC to release 3 months employees’ salary by Dec

TURA: The A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) which was just recently constituted by former GNLA Chairman, Champion R Sangma is firm in its resolved that three months salary of the GHADC employees must be paid within December or it would stage indefinite hunger strike in front of the residence of the Chief Minister and the GHADC CEM.

 The demand was made in a statement issued here on Thursday however, Facebook posts of the former GNLA chairman have already been doing the rounds since the last few days where he had asserted that the demand must be met or the GHADC authorities would have to face the consequences. The organization also even threatened to take the matter to the High Court.

 In its Central Executive Body (CEB) meeting held recently, the organization also resolved to take up the issue of the Garo Customary Law (GCL) which till now is yet to become a bill.

 Besides former GNLA Chairman, Champion R Sangma who is the president, the organizations has George Prince Cheran as Vice President, Cherian Momin as Organizing Secretary, Johny Azim Marak as Publicity Secretary, Sengjrang Nokrek Marak as Information Technology (IT) Secretary, Thoseng Cheba A Sangma as Chief Whip/Discipline Secretary, Dalseng A Sangma as Finance Secretary and Marphy N Marak as Organizing Secretary.

 The organisation recently removed its existing Vice President in-charge of Assam, Elvius R Marak and appointed in his place Chakin Marak, who has also been given the charge of West Khasi Hills.
