SHILLONG: The BDO of Mawryngkneng Block Ronnie Wahlang, on Thursday, inaugurated the office of East Khasi Hills Agriculture Cell at Mawlyngad village.
The office is an initiative by the FKJGP following complaints from farmers regarding the declining prices of agriculture produce.
The organisation has maintained that the ‘minimum support price’ should be put in place.
In his address to the gathering, Wahlang urged the farmers to take up the opportunities provided by the organisation and assured them that the Block office would also extend its support.
