Conrad rallies for Mizo CM rival

SHILLONG: NPP national president Conrad Sangma on Friday campaigned for one of the party’s first-time candidates in the Mizoram election who will face Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla.
Sangma addressed a rally in Serchhip, where the NPP has fielded Kapliana Pachuau, a journalist turned politician.
Serchhip has remained a Congress stronghold for over two decades.
He told the gathering that NPP has a road map to promote youth energy in the North East. “ In Meghalaya, we have come up with innovative programmes to promote sports and music and similar intervention is envisioned for Mizoram,” he added.
